     For those of you new to Williams College, it was established in 1793, through the bequest of Colonel Ephraim Williams.  Williams is located in the hills of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and is the premier liberal arts college in America.  Members of the Williams Community are known as Ephs, in honor of Colonel Williams.  Purple and gold are the traditional school colors and the purple cow is the school mascot.
